Key Features

High-Performance IPv4/IPv6 Networking

The Ethernet Data Center TOR Switches Series delivers high-performance dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 support along with multiple tunneling technologies and rich routing capabilities. It enables advanced multicast, policy-based routing, and a complete suite of modern network protocols for seamless, scalable, and reliable network deployment. Hardware-based forwarding ensures consistent low latency and high throughput even under heavy traffic loads. Fast routing convergence minimizes service disruption during link or node failures. Support for large routing tables allows the network to scale with growing data center and enterprise demands. Integrated traffic engineering capabilities help optimize bandwidth utilization and application performance.

Virtual Switching System (VSS)

VSS technology allows multiple switches to operate as a single logical device, greatly simplifying network management and day-to-day operations. It enhances routing efficiency, reduces protocol overhead, and supports elastic expansion, allowing devices to be added or removed without service interruption. With link-, device-, and protocol-level redundancy, VSS ensures high availability while combining system capacity for improved performance and higher port density. Centralized control and configuration reduce operational complexity and configuration errors. Rapid failover mechanisms ensure continuous traffic forwarding during faults. The unified logical system improves scalability and simplifies network design for large deployments.

Enterprise-Grade Security Control

The switches provide end-to-end security through terminal access control, antivirus integration, and automated patch management. Centralized MAC and IEEE 802.1x authentication enforce strong user and device access policies with dynamic VLAN, QoS, and ACL assignment. Enhanced ACL processing and uRPF protection help prevent IP spoofing and unauthorized access, while integration with WATCHDOG NMC enables centralized visibility, policy enforcement, and real-time security monitoring. Fine-grained security policies allow precise control at user, device, and application levels. Built-in threat detection capabilities help identify abnormal traffic patterns. Centralized security management simplifies compliance, auditing, and incident response.

MACsec Security

MACsec provides robust link-layer encryption to ensure secure data transmission and protect against eavesdropping and data leakage. Anti-replay mechanisms block duplicated or tampered packets, while integrity checks ensure that only authenticated traffic is forwarded. MACsec operates transparently, delivering strong security without impacting network performance or application experience. It is ideal for securing inter-switch links, data center fabrics, and sensitive enterprise connections. Automated key management simplifies deployment and ongoing operations. This ensures consistent, end-to-end protection for critical network traffic. Ethernet Data Center series switches support all ports upgraded MACsec encryption technology and use 256-bit encryption algorithm to further improve data security. All ports of the device provide 256-bit MACsec encryption to ensure data security.
